Aviators Week 4 Preview, by Official AUDL Reporter Andrew Lewis

The Aviators and Cascades will go head to head today in Los Angeles in a contest where one team is guaranteed to walk away with their first win of the season (knock on wood that the AUDL doesn’t have ties...). Let’s face it: this is a must-win for the Aviators if they wish to remain competitive in the West division this year. Luckily, they’re going up against a Seattle team that is in the second game of their weekend road trip, where they suffered a tough loss against San Diego last night even though the schedule last week said they’d play Portland... 🤷‍♂️

I’m going to keep this preview brief: the Aviators need to take advantage of the turns the are given—it’s been the difference in both of their losses so far. They also need to bomb it, challenging the deep space to make those unders easier. All eyes are on Everest Shapiro, who’s looking to remind the league why he’s a front runner for the AUDL Rookie of the Year, and certainly he’ll be a driving factor in the team’s success today. If the Aviators play up to their ability, expect them to overwhelm the Cascades with offense and seal their first dub of the year.
